Introduction
The centre is parent-run and caters for children
from 4 to 17 years of age. We cater for all
standards of athletes whether they are
champions or competing for the exercise
and enjoyment of the sport.
The main
emphasis is on having
a go and having fun!
The committee, which is made up of parents of children attending
the centre, extends a warm and friendly welcome
to both new and returning families.
We hope
to enjoy another
great season together!
Little A's History
The first competition started in 1964 in Geelong, Victoria. The association gradually spread throughout Australia, commencing in NSW in 1970. |

The age of Little Athletes range from
Tots and U6 through to
U17, the athlete having to
be under the age range
as at midnight on 30th
September of that year. Each athlete participates
in various activities,
including running, jumping
and throwing.
Emphasis
is on the enjoyment and
involvement of the children
and their parents. Each
child is encouraged to
participate and achieve
according to his or her
ability. Little Athletics
is a friendly, healthy,
varied and inexpensive
summer sport.
Each centre
has its own form of competition and is usually held on
Friday evenings or Saturday mornings. The Little Athletics
Association of NSW is controlled by the Board of Management
made up of voluntary workers.
The association has a very small number of salaried
officers.
